 | Maureen is inspired by the wonderful variety of flora and fauna to be seen in her surrounding Cotswold countryside throughout all the seasons as well as the delicate plumage and exotic colours of birds both at home and abroad. She loves to capture the minute detail in watercolour, so that these wonderful examples of natural beauty, often over-looked in the rush of everyday life, may be shared by all. Her style of illustrating fruit and vegetables has been of special interest in the commercial world.
Maureen lives and works in a small Cotswold town in Oxfordshire. She won many art competitions as a child but has only recently had the opportunity to pursue art professionally. After raising her family, she studied part-time for a Higher National Diploma in Graphic Design and Illustration, achieving a Distinction and then continued to eventually graduate with a First Class Honours Degree in 2001. Her paintings can be seen in the annual Oxfordshire Artweeks Festival as well as other local galleries and exhibitions. She has also exhibited in London. Her original watercolours are available for sale throughout the year and can be viewed in her gallery in Oxfordshire by appointment. Prints, greetings cards, calendars and other products are also available to buy on-line through this website. |
